Solidarity with Postal Workers at Derry's Royal Mail Sortining Office in Great James Street. A member of the Communications Workers Union has said that 17 members of staff at the facility have now tested positive with Coronavirus, with more now isolating.
CWU members have now refused to enter the facility until management initiate a deep clean of the building in order to ensure the safety of workers. A member of the IWW in Derry has stated that "The Industrial Workers of the World extend its solidarity and support to Postal Workers who are taking this stand to help protect their fellow workers and the wider community.
"It is up to all workers to make a stand and speak out against health and safety concrens such as this. Particularly at this time in the north west our message has to be clear as workers, that our lives are worth more than their economy".
