Wobblies at the Radical Bookfair

The Industrial Workers of the World will be at forthcoming Derry Radical Bookfair 2024 in Derry’s Bogside ahead of the Bloody Sunday March for Justice week of events.

A spokesperson for the IWW Derry group said that “As part of this year book fair talks the IWW will play host to a discussion on Every Worker Needs A Union. The talk will be presented by an IWW workplace organiser and followed by a Q&A session.

“We will also host our annual book fair stall so please come along and join us for a chat, pick up some Wobblie goodies and even attend the annual Bloody Sunday March for Justice commemoration on the following day.”

For those wishing to attend the Derry Radical Bookfair, it will take place on Saturday 27th January 2024 at the Pilots Row Community Centre in Rossville Street, Derry from 12-5pm.

Organisers of the event have welcomed its return stating "The Radical Bookfair has grown both in name and in numbers making it an important annual political event on the calendar for many. Throughout the day, we host a broad range of stalls from a local or national interest, on feminism or queer politics, to republicanism, Marxism and of course anarchism. Likewise we also have a great mixture of book launches, talks or discussions which compliments the book and information stalls presented."
