IWW Solidarity on Palestine Land Day

Members of the Industrial Workers of the World took part in solidarity actions in Belfast and Derry marking Palestine Land Day. The day of action was used to help highlight continued genocide of the Palestinian people but also opposition to the unfolding war across the Middle East by the forces of US imperialism and Zionism.

A representative of the IWW said that "During today's actions we heard a number of speakers who addressed rallies to condemn the ongoing genocide in Palestine as to draw attention to the efforts made to oppose it.

"Community and workplace actions are increasing as part of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) Movement and have already shown many successful victories.

"As a union, we believe it's vital that each of us participate in the grassroots BDS campaigns. Each of us have a role to play, to get involved how ever we can as the smallest of victories is having an impact".
