No Extradition: Release Antoine Now!

Antoine Nieto Galindo is one of the oldest political prisoners currently being held by the Spanish State. Antoine has been locked up in Spanish prisons for more than 40 years. He was convicted for expropriating funds from the banks back in the 1970’s, during the post-Franco transition period. He was also one of the founding members of the autonomous movement of the prisoners and is now due for release on February 3rd 2020.

More recently news has come to light that Antoine has received the devastating news that he now has cancer. It is now believed that upon his release from the Spanish prison system, the French “Justice System” have issued claims for his extradition for supposedly similar complementary penalties for attacks on banks in France.

It is without doubt that none of Galindo’s political actions have ever resulted in the death or injury to any member of the public in either the Spanish or French States. Our comrades in the CNT-AIT have now launched a campaign of solidarity to try to prevent its extradition in France and request his release form prison on health grounds.

The Industrial Workers of the World and the Incarcerated Workers Organising Committee join with the international chorus to demand the immediate release of political prisoner Antoine Nieto Galindo from Spanish prison system into the hands of his family and loved ones for the careened attention urgently he requires.
