Following the US/Israeli military attack on Iran, members on the Industrial Workers of the World took part in a number of anti-war rallies held this evening in both Belfast and Derry.

In Derry city centre, protestors assembled at the war cenotaph as a number of speakers condemned the ongoing US/Israeli military strikes across Iran.

A spokesperson for the IWW Ireland Branch following today's actions, calling for an immediate end to this latest wave of imperialist aggression. "This is yet another act of imperialist terror inflicted upon the people of the middle east. Following on from the genocide brought upon the people of Palestine, both Zionism and Western imperialism have continued their thrust for destruction and terror on the people of Iran.

"As a union, we are opposed to Zionist and Imperialist terror. Our members are participating in a simultaneous anti-war rallies to express our rage at yet further acts of war and devastation. To add our voice to demand an immediate end to this endless horror of war. We demand an end to the genocide inflicted on people of Palestine and an end to the war in Iran."
