IWW Solidarity with the Minnesota 15

The Industrial Workers of the World extends is solidarity with the 'Minnesota 15 Anti-Repression Committee' is seeking support from working class people all over the world. The Minnesota 15 are a group of activists in the Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA facing federal indictments for organizing against ICE during Operation Metro Surge. Several of 15 the defendants are anarchists. Eight of the fifteen defendants are rank and file union militants, many of which were instrumental in the organizing of the Minnesota general strike on January 23rd. One of the defendants is a longtime member of the Industrial Workers of the World (IWW).

We are looking to build an international network of contacts to coordinate solidarity efforts.  The network we are seeking to build is a united front including labor, immigrant and refugee defense, mutual aid networks, faith and religious groups, students, community organizations, and so on. 

Through our networks, we are building solidarity committees in various cities across the US and around the world.  Committees consist of working class people from various walks of life, struggles, and organizations working together to defend the Minnesota 15 and organize against state repression in general. Our committees will support the Minnesota 15 in four areas. 

1.  Statements of support from organizations including labor unions, union caucuses, political organizations, community organizations etc. 

2.  Fundraising including direct donations from organizations, sharing our fundraising link on social media, and organizing fundraisers. 

3.  Amplifying the voices of the defendants and committee members by connecting them with journalists, podcasters, influencers and organizing speaking events.
